It hurts so bad to not be able to go on that awesome trip! One of my friends' father was a doctor, so my parents let me do more with her family than with my other friends. This led to my other friends thinking I didn't like them as much. Ah, adolescence. At any rate, life goes on, and my inability to participate because of the what-ifs caused me to learn diabetes skills. It seems so overwhelming, but taking it one step at a time helps.
